Roasted strawberry, dark chocolate and grilled brie cheese

 It is wonderful how, although you may think all cuisines are similar, in fact you can always find something that would feel weird in your homeland cuisine. For example chocolate with cheese and on top of all bread. You just don’t, just never combine those in Serbia. Chocolate with strawberries is fine, chocolate cake we have eaten it a billion times, but here even the cheesecake is unusual. That is why I chose this recipe to blow your minds with it. Enjoy.


 Divno je kako, iako ste možda mislili da su sve kuhinje u neku ruku slične, u stvari uvek postoji nešto što je potpuno nezamislivo u načinu na koji ste navikli da kuvate kod kuće. Vaša baka to sigurno ne bi dozvolila. Na primer, čokolada sa sirom, a preko svega toga hleb. To se jednostavno ne radi, nikad to ne kombinujes u Srbiji. Ingredients (for 2 sandwiches):

  • 6 strawberries, quartered

  • 1/2 teaspoon canola oil

  • pinch of salt

  • 2 tablespoons butter

  • 4 thick-cut slices of multigrain bread

  • 2-3 ounces of brie cheese, sliced

  • 1-2 ounces high-quality chocolate

Preheat oven to 375 degrees (190 degrees celsius). Toss strawberries with oil and salt, then spread on a baking sheet and roast for 20 minutes.

Heat a large skillet or grilled over medium-low heat. Butter the sides of two slices of bread, place them on the skillet buttered-side down, then layer on a few slices of cheese, chocolate and strawberries. Top with a few more slices of cheese, then butter one side of the other bread slices, and place on top of the cheese. Cook for 2-3 minutes or until the cheese has started to melt, then gently flip the sandwich and cook until golden. Serve immediately!


Sastojci (za 2 sendviča):

  • 6 jagoda, isečenih na četvrtine
  • 1/2 kk ulja od repice
  • prstohvat soli
  • 2 kašike putera
  • 4 debelo sečna parčeta hleba od celog zrnevlja
  • 2-3 ounces (oko 90 grama) bri sira, isečeno na listiće
  • 1-2 ounces (oko 50 grama) crne čokolade

Zagrejati rernu na 190 stepeni. Ubaciti jagode i posuti uljem i solju, i rasporediti po papiru za pečenje i peći 20 minuta.

Zagrejati veliki tiganj za grilovanje, na srednju temperaturu. Premazati hleb puterom, sa obe spoljnje strane. Ppostavite stranu namazanu puteron na dole, u tiganj, i poređajte sir pa čokoladu i na kraju dodajte jagode. Odozgo dodajte još nekoliko listića sira, i poklopite drugim parčetom hleba. Kuvajte 2-3 minuta ili dok sir ne počne da se topi, a onda ga nežno okrenite na drugu stranu i kuvajte dok ne dobije zlatnu braon boju. Poslužite odmah!
