Chocolate Chip Cookie Bottomed Salted Rum Caramel Tart with Toasted Marshmallow

I must not lie, this headline sums up my favourite tastes. That is why I chose it. In my existence I haven’t met someone who doesn’t like these ingredients and aromas, and if there are any of you out there – Shame on you! I’m that radical.

Author of this recipe, have made it around Christmas, and today is June. Some would say I’m late. Of course, it is hot outside and you wouldn’t want to turn on the oven and make it even hotter. But, I would. If you ask me, when it is a right time for caramel, my answer is – Always. Enjoy!


Ne smem da vas lažem, ovaj naslov sumira, u potpunosti, moje omiljene ukuse. Zato sam ga i izabrala. U celom svom postojanju, nisam upoznala nekog ko ne voli ove sastojke i arome, i ako vas ima negde- Sram vas bilo! Da, toliko sam radikalna.

Autorka ovog recepta, ga je pravila u vreme Božića, a danas je Jun. Neki bi rekli da kasnim. Naravno, napolju je vrelo i ne biste voleli da uključujete rernu i napravite još topliju atmosferu. No, ja bih. Ako mene pitate, koje je pravo vreme za karamelu, moj odgovor je – Uvek! Uživajte!

This cake has three layers, crust – made from cookie dough, caramel filling, chocolate ganache on top, and if you desire it, you can add marshmallow. These parts, when separated aren’t hard to make, only thing hard about this recipe is – having patience. It takes a little more time to prepare, because of cooling, and perhaps the best solution is to make it a day before, or in the morning if you are expecting guests in the evening.


Ovaj kolač ima tri sloja, koricu – od testa za kekse, punjenje od karamele, čokoladni ganaš odozgo, i ako želite, možete dodati ovu “puslicu” na vrh, u Americi je to “maršmelou” i vrlo liči na naš “Munchmallow”. Svi ovi delovi, odvojeno, nisu teški za pravljenje, jedina teška stvar kod ovog recepta je – imati strpljenje. Potrebno je malo više vremena za pripremu, zbog hlađenja, i možda je najbolje rešenje praviti ga dan ranije, ili ujutru, ukoliko očekujete goste uveče.

(u njenom receptu stoji da je vreme za pripremu sastojaka 35 min, vreme pečenja 30min, a ukupno vreme spremanja 3 sata; ipak možda zbog hlađenja treba i do 5-6 sati; veličina koju dobijete je kolač sa 25cm u prečniku)
